Students should have basic networking knowledge, including an understanding of the OSI Reference Model.

The exam contains 60 multiple choice/single answer questions.

To earn the CWT certification, you must pass an online exam with a score of 70% or higher. Those desiring to work as instructors teaching CWT classes must pass with a score of 80% or higher.

For the CWS and CWT exams, there is a 24 hour waiting period to retake the exam.

For all other certification exams offered through Pearson VUE, there is a 10 day waiting period to retake an exam.  Saturdays and Sundays are included as part of the 10 day waiting period.
